My current work revolves around the concept of storytelling by taking old photographs and reinterpreting them as collaged pieces of cloth that pass on some of my family history. I am working with screen printing and shibori techniques to create images that recapture memories and impressions of the people close to me. I embellish the images with painted dyes, pigments, discharge and stitching to bring out details and to add another dimension of visual clues to the story of the cloth.
